The term "estate sale" refers to the sale of personal property, i.e. furniture, china, linens, tools, books, antiques, collectibles, etc. An estate sale differs from a garage sale in that it is usually involves the entire contents of a home and is held indoors. Such a sale may be needed after a loved one's death, downsizing, lifestyle change, divorce, etc. In such stressful circumstances, we know how difficult it can be to sort through the contents ,often accumulated over the course of a lifetime. Even more daunting is to figure out what to do with everything left after the removal of items of sentimental value. We are here to help during this time

We will set up an appointment to meet with you and any other family members who would like to attend. There is never a charge for us to meet with you. We also work a great deal with attorneys, executors and real estate agents and would be happy to meet with them as well. We will ask you for a tour of the home and to point out any items that will not be included in the sale. We will then give you an evaluation of your estate- every evaluation we give is based on honesty and years of experience. We do not exaggerate the value of your estate just to "get the sale". If we feel you do not have enough to have a profitable sale, we will tell you and will come up with another solution. In our business- we are known as the problem solvers!
Your responsibility is simple. Worry about yourselves. Concentrate on what you want to keep. If family members are taking some items, contact them and let them know it is time to move the items to their homes. If you need assistance with this we can help. We know many local movers and long distance carriers that specialize in smaller shipments. If items just can't be moved before the sale we will move them to an "off limits room" or mark them not for sale.
During the pre sale organization you should be gathering personal documents and photos. We will start a "family box" for you and add any items we think you may have missed. Don't worry about sorting or organizing for us. This is what you are paying us to do for you. Don't throw things away. What you may see as garbage may have value at the sale. We will throw things away for you as we sort and organize.
We have gotten ready for sales in less than two days but we would like about a few weeks lead time to advertise, display and organzie your possesions. We pride ourselves on making your items look attractive and desireable. We will also take this time to do more advertising, including photos on our websites.
